BMR electronically coded non-contact safety switch with 15 meter cable

Mechan Controls’ BMR safety switch is an electronically coded, non-contact switch designed to secure hinged doors, sliding doors and removable machine guard interlocks in machine safety applications without guard interlocks. Thanks to RFID-based electronic coding, the switch has excellent tamper protection and meets the highest safety standards for industrial applications.

The BMR is a medium-sized electronic safety switch with the same robust design features as the F-Type safety switches. The components are fully molded into a compact 52 × 27 × 25 mm ABS housing. This small size makes the switch ideal for applications where limited mounting space is available or where discreet mounting is desired, such as when hiding or mounting the switches.

The BMR switch continuously monitors the status of the safety function with both open and closed doors, ensuring reliable detection and fast fault signaling. The switch is fully encased in a robust blue ABS housing and features integrated cable protection adapters, making it resistant to mechanical stress and suitable for use in the most demanding industrial environments.

Both the switch and actuator are fully sealed to IP67 and IP69K, making the BMR suitable for use in wet, dusty or otherwise contaminated environments. The fully sealed construction makes the switch easy to clean and suitable for applications in, for example, the food industry or packaging machines.

The BMR safety switch is easy to mount and, in combination with a suitable safety controller, can be used in systems up to PLe (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN 62061).
