The S201A-WL Smart sensor is part of the Inxpect 200 SERIES radar safety system and is designed for applications where an extended detection range of up to 9 meters is required. With 20° vertical angle coverage and a freely configurable field of view, this sensor offers maximum flexibility in safety zone design. Thanks to radar technology, the sensor is insensitive to dust, rain, light, dirt, vapor and vibration, allowing it to function reliably in demanding industrial and outdoor environments.

Equipped with a warning zone for approaching objects, the S201A-WL detects both static and moving persons. The built-in restart blocker prevents machines from restarting as long as persons are in the danger zone. In addition, the sensor can be rotated along three axes (x, y, z) for optimal mounting and positioning.

A unique feature of this model is its support for Radar Cross Section (RCS) detection. This allows the sensor to distinguish specific targets, such as persons or objects, to avoid collisions or better tune safety scenarios. This feature makes the sensor widely applicable in industries such as earthmoving, rail, mining and agriculture, where both person and object detection is required.

The S201A-WL features four independent fields of view, which are individually adjustable. From 0.2 to 5 meters horizontally adjustable between 10-100° (increments of 5°). From 5 to 9 meters horizontally adjustable between 10-40° (increments of 5°).In addition, the sensor can reliably detect motion speeds up to 4 m/s

The S201A-WL is certified for use in PLd, Cat. 3 (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 2 (EN 62061) applications, meeting international safety standards for machine protection.
