The S203A-W Smart sensor is an advanced safety radar sensor from the Inxpect 200 SERIES radar protection range. This sensor offers a range of 0.2 to 5 meters and a vertical angle coverage of 12°, making it excellent for securing hazardous areas around machinery. Thanks to the radar technology used, the S203A-W is insensitive to dust, rain, dirt, vapor, light and vibration, making it particularly reliable in demanding industrial environments.

The sensor features a warning zone that detects both static and moving objects and has a restart blocker that prevents the machine from reactivating when people are still present in the hazardous area. For optimal positioning, the sensor can be rotated along three axes (x, y, z).

A key feature of the S203A-W is its freely configurable field of view. The user can choose from symmetrical, asymmetrical or corridor profiles and additionally set up to four separate fields of view. The horizontal detection range is flexibly adjustable between 10° and 100° in 5° increments, combined with a fixed vertical coverage of 20°.

The S203A-W supports a maximum sensing distance of 5 meters and a minimum distance of 0.2 meters. In addition, the sensor can reliably detect motion speeds up to 2 m/s. These features make the S203A-W a versatile and safe solution for the industrial sector, where flexibility and reliability in machine safety are essential. The radar system is suitable for use in PLd, category 3 (EN ISO 13849-1) or SIL2 (EN 62061) applications.
