The Steute Ex RC Si 56 is a magnetically coded, non-contact safety sensor for machine guarding in ATEX environments. The sensor is certified for gas Ex zone 1 and dust Ex zone 21.

The sensor secures hinged doors, sliding doors and removable guards in applications without guard interlocks. Coded Reed sensors provide tamper protection and the status of the safety chain is continuously monitored on both opened and closed doors.The safety sensor features a status LED.

The Ex RC Si 56 is easy to assemble, has a thermoplastic housing and, together with the actuator, is fully sealed to IP67 for use in contaminated or wet environments. Applicable up to PLe (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN 62061).
