Installation kit for SL4 emergency stop rope switch.
The SL4 installation kit consists of:

15 meter cable (polypropylene coated steel cable)
1x stainless steel lance set
1x stainless steel cable clamp
1x stainless steel anchor spring
1x stainless steel anchor plate
6x stainless steel eye bolts (M8 x 1.25 thread size)

Installation Instructions

Installation of the Mechan Controls Grab Wire SL4 system must be based on a risk assessment for the specific application. Installation only by competent personnel and in accordance with these instructions.
According to ISO 13850 (formerly EN 418), guide rollers/cat coils may only be positioned so that the entire cable length remains visible.
Cable support eyebolts should be installed every 2.5 m along the entire cable length between switches. Support the cable within 500 mm from the switch eye bolt or safety spring (if applied). Note that this first 500 mm does not count as an active protection zone.
Use M5 mounting bolts for mounting the switch. Tightening torque of mounting bolts: 4 Nm. Tightening torque cover screws, blind plugs of cable entry and cable glands: 1.5 Nm to secure the IP seal. Only use cable glands that match the cable entry and the outer diameter of the cable.
Tension the cable with a safety tensioner kit or the Mechan Controls tensioner. Upon installation, set the Supply Voltage to the center position as indicated by the markings in the viewing windows of each SL4. Test the operation of the SL4 and control circuit by pulling the cable at several points within the active protection zone and reset each SL4 by turning the blue reset switch. Check each time the SL4 drops out and requires manual reset. If necessary, increase system voltage based on these tests. If an emergency stop with mushroom head (red) is installed, also test and reset each SL4 to confirm proper safety circuit operation. Typical operating condition: < 75 N operating force and < 150 mm cable deflection between eyebolts.
