The Pfannenberg Quadro F12-SIL is a xenon strobe light in robust square design for safety-oriented visual signaling in industrial environments. The lamp is designed for applications where high attention value and continuous function monitoring are required. Thanks to the integrated self-monitoring and the diagnostic/alarm contact, the operation of the flash lamp can be remotely monitored and a safe state or notification can be realized within the safety system in the event of a malfunction. The Quadro F12-SIL is used in both process and machine safety, for example for gas and leak detection, overpressure and overfill protection, start warnings, muting indication and warnings at lag times or delayed stops. The short, powerful xenon flashes provide a clear visual warning even in environments with high backlighting or noise.
The strobe light is intended as an output component with diagnostics within a safety chain and can be integrated into Safety Instrumented Systems up to SIL 2 or PL d, when properly applied within the overall safety architecture. The Quadro F12-SIL is not a stand-alone safety device. The system integrator is responsible for achieving the required SIL or Performance Level for the complete safety function.
The main advantages of the Quadro F12-SIL are the high flash energy of 10 Joule, the integrated self-monitoring of the flash generation and the positively driven alarm contact (1x NC and 1x NO) for reliable fault detection. The robust polycarbonate housing, high degree of protection and wide temperature tolerance make the flash lamp suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications in demanding industrial environments.
The Quadro F12-SIL is available in 6 different colors: transparent, white, red, amber, yellow, green and blue. It is also available in a version with 230 V AC, 115 V AC or 24 V DC.
