SS-C-QD RFID electronically coded non-contact safety sensor with M12 4-pin connector

The SS-C safety sensor is an electronically coded, non-contact switch for use in machine safety applications. Thanks to the application of RFID technology, based on radio frequency, the sensor offers a high level of security against tampering and manipulation. This makes the SS-C suitable for reliably securing hinged doors, sliding doors and removable machine guarding in applications without guard interlocks.

The sensor is equipped with 1NO contact and can switch up to 500 mA at 24 V DC or 110 V AC. Combined with modern safety relays with low inrush current, the SS-C can be easily integrated into a variety of safety chains. The built-in dual color status LED provides clear indication of operating status and faults, speeding up diagnosis and maintenance.

Both the switch and actuator are made of rugged ABS and fully sealed to IP67. This makes the sensor resistant to dust, water and high-pressure cleaning, making it suitable for use in harsh and contaminated industrial environments.

The SS-C safety switch is easy to mount and, in combination with a suitable safety controller, can be used in systems up to PLe (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN 62061).
